Alberta is one of Canada’s most impressive common economies drawing in newcomers from everywhere Canada just as the remainder of the world. It is known for its fossil energy, farming, ranger service, schooling, the travel industry, and cordiality just as its assembling industry gives positions in Canada to a large number of individuals.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is a financial migration program that assigns individuals to a long-lasting home in Alberta. Candidates should have abilities to fill work deficiencies or be intending to purchase or begin a business in Alberta. They ought to similarly have the choice to accommodate their families. The program is controlled by the legislatures of Alberta and Canada. If you are nominated through the program, you may apply for permanent residence status together with your spouse or common-law partner, and dependent children.

There are 2 main streams of AINP — 1st is Stream for workers and 2nd is Stream for entrepreneurs. Each of these streams is further broken down into sub-stream as shown below.

In this blog, we will deep dive into the Alberta Express Entry stream as that’s the most common stream through which people apply.

Alberta Express Entry stream –

Overview:

Under the Alberta Express Entry stream, the province can nominate a limited number of qualified Express Entry candidates. Applications may be requested from individuals who have demonstrated strong ties to the province or who can help support the province’s economic development and diversification priorities. International graduates from Canadian post-secondary institutions may also be asked to apply under this stream.

Key points of Alberta express entry stream-

  • Through the Alberta Express Entry Stream, IRCC officials will send a Notification of Interest (NOI) invites to eligible candidates through their existing Express Entry Profiles. You do not need to apply directly.
  • The NOC codes of these invitations will depend on the current labor market needs of Alberta at any given time.
  • International graduates from Canadian post-secondary institutions can also apply for their Permanent Residency (PR) status under this stream.
  • You will receive a Notification of Interest (NOI) which will give you an additional 600 CRS points in your existing Express Entry profile. This will guarantee your selection in the very next Express Entry draw.

  • You need to have the minimum Express Entry selection factor points (67/100).
  • You need to have a valid Express Entry profile. (Must have 3 months left until expiry date)
(If your profile is about to expire or has less than 3 months of validity left, you can delete you are existing Express Entry profile & create a new one)
  • You have to state your interest/intent to immigrate to the province of Alberta.
  • You should have something like 1 year of work experience in an occupation that upholds Alberta’s monetary turn of events and diversification.
  • You ought to have a base CRS score of 300.
(A most awesome aspect of the AINP: You can apply regardless of whether you have a low CRS score)

  • You will need a Language Test Report with a minimum score of CLB 7.

How to apply for the AINP Express Entry stream:

Step 1. Respond to the Notification of Interest (NOI) letter
If you get a Notification of Interest letter from Alberta, you should:

  • Email a copy of the letter to the AINP at albertaexpressentry@gov.ab.ca within 2 weeks of receiving it in your federal Express Entry profile.
  • Provide your Express Entry profile number.
  • Give the email address you will use for all future AINP correspondence. If you are selected to apply, you should have a MyAlberta Digital ID (MADI) account using a similar email.
  • Give status data about current and past AINP applications/selections (if applicable).

Step 2. Receive a request from the AINP to apply to this stream
Assuming you are chosen to apply, the AINP will send you an email with a connection to the AINP entry. Assuming the AINP doesn’t request that you present an application, you are not qualified for consideration under the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

Step 3. Read the terms and conditions
The availability of AINP streams, categories, and pilots is dependent upon application volumes and labor market needs. The AINP reserves the right to close application intake for any AINP stream, category or pilot at any time, without prior notice. Further, the AINP may decline to consider applications to closed or suspended streams, categories or pilots, regardless of when the applications were submitted. The criteria for the AINP are routinely evaluated and may be subject to change at any time and without notice. Changes to the AINP, including notice of suspension or closure of its streams, categories and pilots, and criteria changes, are available at AINP — Updates.

Step 4. Review the assessment criteria
Alberta Express Entry Stream evaluation rules for general Express Entry applicants differ from the Notification of Interest factors you should meet to get an NOI letter. Audit the evaluation measures. You should meet all evaluation rules at the time of application and assessment. Your application will be declined in case you do not meet the rules.

Step 5. Complete your application online and pay your application fee
For your web-based application to be acknowledged for handling by the AINP, you should finish 2 stages:

  • Finish and submit the online application.
  • Pay the application charge.

Application fee:

Fee conditions

An application charge of $500 applies to every online-based application.

The AINP application charge is non-refundable once an application has been submitted to the AINP. Refund for application charges won’t be thought of. The application charge takes care of the expense of handling your application and is required whether or not a nomination certificate is given. There is no assurance you will be given a nomination certificate.

Each AINP application requires a different application charge and the expense won’t be discounted.

After you apply:

  • Your AINP file number is available on the MyApplications page of the online portal
Your application will go into a pool of Alberta Express Entry Stream applications. Your application might be chosen for assessment. There are no processing times for Alberta Express Entry Stream applications. The AINP has sole caution on the request in which applications are evaluated or then again in case an application is assessed by any means.
  • Notification of application
Emails from the AINP will consistently come from a @gov.ab.ca account. The Alberta government doesn’t use email records like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, and so on. If by any chance you get a suspicious email, contact your neighborhood police, and report the episode to the AINP by email at lbr.pnpoffice@gov.ab.ca.
  • Updating your information
Keep your application information up to date while your application will be evaluated and keep in mind that it is being surveyed by an AINP official.

You should refresh the AINP to:

  1. Correct or update data or documents in your paper or online application.
  2. Give required updates on your work status, contact data (address, email address, or telephone number), or changes to your family status.
  3. Provide refreshed or renewed work permit(s), including proof of Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) or proof of LMIA exception; you must maintain temporary resident status and a valid work permit with the federal government.
  4. Update your use of a representative.
  5. Request your application to be withdrawn.
